MYTHICIST : SEBUAH MITOS TENTANG "MITOS"

Abstract


Abstrak: Meskipun secara umum eksistensi historis figur Yesus merupakan kebenaran yang dianggap aksiomatis,sejarah mencatat adanya beberapa orang dari abad-abad lampau, yang menyangsikan bahwa Pribadi ini benar-benar pernah ada. Hanya saja, ide ini tidak mendapat sambutan yang serius pada masa itu. Meski demikian, ini tidak menyurutkan beberapa pemikir kontemporer yang menyebut diri mereka Mythicist, untuk menggemakan kembali ide ini. Dalam tulisan ini, pertama-tama penulis akan memaparkan sketsa sejarah kemunculan ide ini. Setelah itu, penulis akan memaparkan dan merangkumkan garis besar argumen beberapa pemikir utama kelompok Mythicist, sebelum pada akhirnya, penulis akan mengevaluasi tiap-tiap argumen mereka untuk menunjukkan bahwa pada dasarnya para Mythicist hanya menampilkan sebuah mitos tentang ―mitos.‖
